Loren and Ryan - Millwick Los Angeles Wedding Photos

It is very rare when your personal and professional life are able to collide so serendipitously. Shooting weddings was an unforeseen benefit of working in photography, and starting a company at a young age, I don't think I ever anticipated the impact this industry would have on me both professionally and personally.

In the year before this wedding, I thought I could pass this test with flying colors. I have quite a few weddings under my belt (70+), and a general apathy to high stress situations. However, I was definitely not prepared for this wedding and what it would eventually mean to my family and me.

Katie and Andy - Brecknock Hall Wedding Photos

This blog post was originally going to be about 200 photos long, but we figured that would be overkill. But it was hard picking our favorites from Katie and Andy's fantastic and fun and beautiful wedding at Brecknock Hall, located on Long Island's North Fork. We knew it was going to be a good day when our engagement shoot turned into a several hour affair, ending in tacos and margaritas, something that has become more and more common with our awesome couples (or pasta and wine, or hot dogs and beer, etc.). We feel pretty confident you'll get a good sense of the day by looking through these photos, and how much fun these two are. Thank you Katie and Andy for finding us and for having us capture your day!

Dre and Sean - Ocean Key Resort Wedding

We had an amazing time capturing Dre and Sean's wedding in Key West! It was great to reconnect with Dre, and meet Sean for the first time as well as their families and friends. This was such an easy day with these two (despite a potential storm and 50 mph wind gusts, both of which we basically were able to avoid), and we are so happy to have experienced Key West for the first time with them! Big thanks to this awesome couple for making our jobs so easy!

Judy and Jeff - L'Auberge Del Mar Wedding Photos

It's always great shooting in your home town. Rob and I began our business in his home state so branching out to California has been exciting for us both. Jeff and Judy were the perfect compliment to that. We were able to meet up with them in Central Park shooting an afternoon with the two of them and their 3 year old son Jack and now traveling west for the wedding day at The L'Auberge Del Mar. We had a great day starting off in La Jolla at Mary Star of the Sea for their ceremony followed by a perfect sunset an dancing to the most epic Rolling Stones cover band of all time. Jeff and Judy are the epitome of the cool laid back couples we love working with. Thanks again for a perfect day you two.

Daniella and Justin - San Miguel de Allende Wedding

Rob and I love shooting destination weddings for so many reasons. But when you are surrounded by amazing friends in a perfect setting we really couldn't ask for more. Daniella and Justin got married in the town of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Rita and Craig - Tom Ham's Lighthouse Wedding Photos

When I heard Craig got engaged, I basically told him we'd be photographing the wedding, and he didn't have a choice. I've known Craig for over 25 years, so there was no way we'd let anyone else take on the role. Especially after he used me as his decoy when he proposed to Rita. They were going to "meet me for drinks" while I was in town. I was in town, but those drinks never happened.

Michelle and Andy - Torrey Pine's Wedding Photos

It was so great to be  a part of Michelle and Andy's wedding in San Diego. Rob and I love to travel for work, and what better place to go then back home for their wedding at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. We had so much fun with Michelle and Andy, and they were so easy to work with. And even easier to photograph. :)

Nicole and Adam - Fisher Island, Miami Wedding Photos

We met Nicole and Adam at another wedding, when Nicole offered (insisted and wouldn't take no for an answer) to get me a drink while I was backing up the photos at the end of the night. The four of us became fast friends, they got engaged, and next thing you know we are on the insanely beautiful Fisher Island in Miami photographing their wedding.

Emily & Zach - Tucker's Point Wedding Photos

Emily and Zack, killing it with the details and a Bermuda wedding! We spent the first 10 hours of our trip stranded at JFK along with what seemed like half of the wedding. But we made good use of the Delta lounge's complimentary cocktails, and finally made it Tucker's Point, one of the nicest resorts on the island. Flip through the photos of these two babes, and see for yourself their amazing style.

Deb & Richard - New York City Wedding Photos

This was not your typical wedding shoot. Deb and RIchard were getting married in Tennessee, but live in NY. So a few days before they were to tie the knot, they got into their wedding day gear and we roamed the streets of Manhattan, hitting all of their favorite spots. With some time and planning, we were able to pull off a ton of different looks. The view from their apartment, and their vintage Mercedes, certainly helped as well.

Amy & Jordan - Ace Hotel Palm Springs Wedding Photos

Shooting at The Ace Hotel in Palm Springs is nothing short of a dream. The grounds are sparse with an old school southwest feel. And the rooms are delicately decorated with vintage posters, records and cool thrift shop finds. Such a location was a perfect background for the wedding of my friend, and one time Brooklyn roommate, Amy and her new husband, Jordan.

Amarisa and Paul - Maritime Parc Wedding Photos

Super excited to share some photos from Amarisa and Paul’s Maritime Parc wedding. We had such a great time at their wedding, and were fed VERY well. Paul is the executive chef at The National in NYC (with like a dozen Iron Chef appearances!), so we knew the food would be on point. If you want to make your wedding photographers happy, feed them well.

Kirby & Ian - Mission Ranch, Caramel, CA Wedding Photos

Rob and I have been shooting weddings for a while now, mostly located on the east coast. I am so happy to be sharing a wedding with you that not only is located in California, but one that involved so many good friends of mine. I met Kirby through my current California roommate (and total babe of a bridesmaid) 6 years ago, and we could not have been more excited to capture their day with them.

Jeanmarie & Ryan - Wainright House Wedding Photos

You may recall Jeanmarie and Ryan’s Baltimore engagement shoot from a few months back. We love these two and were extremely excited for this wedding. This day must’ve been a popular day to get married, because we had three other requests. But Jeanmarie, always one to be prepared, had me on hold since running into us at a wedding two years prior.
